Lunch
Lunches are provided for those who wish to purchase them through a cafeteria partnership with our neighbor, San Jacinto Elementary School. Each day the cafeteria staff at San Jacinto Elementary School prepares healthy lunches while using NUTRIKIDS Menu Planning and Analysis Software, which meets 100% of all policies, rules and regulations established by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Order forms are distributed to each student weekly. All lunch order forms must be returned on Monday morning by 8:20 a.m. Accurate lunch counts are imperative for the efficient operation of the cafeteria. If your child is not present for the lunch count at 8:00 a.m. and in need of a lunch, you must contact the school office before 8:20 a.m. and inform the office manager that your student will be ordering a lunch.
For students that bring their lunch, it is important that their lunch include healthy food and beverages. Please do not send sodas of any kind. Lunchtime is an important part of our school day and allows students an opportunity to learn and practice social skills. Parents may join students for lunch.
Cafeteria Rules and Regulations
All food and drinks are to be consumed in the cafeteria. It is expected that students exercise proper conduct at all times in the cafeteria. Any student who does not obey cafeteria rules will be subject to the consequences established in school disciplinary guidelines.
Students are expected to:
- Speak in a soft voice.
- Observe basic table manners.
- Listen and show respect for all adults.
- Enter and exit the cafeteria quietly and orderly.
- Remain seated while eating.
- Ask permission to leave the cafeteria.
- Clean their area after eating.
Tutors
Title I tutors are available to help students in the areas of Mathematics and of Language Arts.
Saint Joseph School Hours
Monday – Friday 7:45 – 3:00
Before-School Care 7:00 – 7:45 A daily fee of $2.50 is charged.
After-School Care 3:00 – 6:00 There is no charge for this service.
